Digital Music stories - Page 21

Music is everywhere, and most of us listen to it on digital electronic devices. Digital music is a method of representing sound as numerical files in order to read it by a device capable of playing and transmitting it.

The main features of digital music are the sample rate and the bit depth - which are the number of samples an audio file carries per second and the amplitude resolution of audio files. Most common file formats of digital music are MP3, WAV, PCM and AIFF.
